One of Ireland’s newest independent publications — fashion, beauty, lifestyle and home, travel, and the social side of the country, reported straight.
The Moiré Edit was founded on a simple belief: the things Irish people actually think about and talk about every day deserve to be covered with the same rigour as anything else. Not treated as filler between the serious news. Not handed back to readers as a press release with a byline on it.
We are independent and unaligned. We take the ordinary story — the one the whole country is already talking about — and look at it a second time, from an angle nobody else bothered with. We ask the question that has not been asked, we go looking for the answer, and we deal in the facts on the ground. Where we cannot verify something, we say so in the piece rather than quietly leaving it in.
“The ordinary story is the story. We are here to look at it properly.”
The Moiré Edit Editorial TeamNo house line and no owner to please. We are not aligned to a party, a brand or an agency, and we do not run copy we were handed.
Every figure carries the date we found it and where it came from. Where a claim could not be verified, we say so in the piece rather than printing it anyway.
We raise the questions that need asking, and go looking for the answers. Sometimes the answer is that nobody has one, and that is worth reporting too.
